Is it possible to change field ordering with conditions?

Asked by alvincosio on July 26, 2013 at 12:23 PM

Please help guys! i have a checkbox containg 6 choices.

    scenario:

when user choose to select FIRST

Task 1 (CHECKBOX) = it will display [IST ROW] Task 1 [TEXT AREA]

and then user want to add task, he choose  TASK 2

Task 2 (CHECKBOX) = it wil display [2ND ROW] Task 2 [TEXT AREA]

and then user want to add task, he choose  TASK 3

Task 3 (CHECKBOX) = it wil display [3RD ROW] Task 3 [TEXT AREA]

and then user want to add task, he choose  TASK 4

Task 4 (CHECKBOX) = it wil display [4TH ROW] Task 4 [TEXT AREA]

and then user want to add task, he choose  TASK 5

Task 5 (CHECKBOX) = it wil display [5TH ROW] Task 5 [TEXT AREA]

and then user want to add task, he choose  TASK 6

Task 6 (CHECKBOX) = it wil display [6TH ROW] Task 6 [TEXT AREA]

***The scenario above is working good.***

    The problem is:

what if the user select first the Task 2?

[IST ROW] it will display = Task 2[TEXT AREA]

And then user want to add task, he choose  TASK 1

[IST ROW] it will display = Task 1 [TEXT AREA]

[2ND ROW] it will display = Task 2 [TEXT AREA]

is there a way to workaround this, i want

IF THE USER FIRST SELECT IT WILL DISPLAY IN FIRST ROW,

USER SELECT SECOND IT WILL DISPLAY SECOND ROW AND SO ON ...

is this possible? please help me out?

Thank you very much hope you get what i mean.

    Hi Alvin,

I've cloned your form and made some workaround on it for you to check if this something you want to achieve.

if the user pick task 3 it will display in the first row, and if user wants to add task 4, the task 4 will be shown in the 2nd row and so on.

    @ alvincosio

That's not possible unfortunately. Fields order is still based on how they are arranged in the form builder. There's no way to changed the fields ordering on conditions. e.g. If task 1 is above task 2, task 1 will always appear on top of task 2 when condition is triggered. This is simply because the task 1 source code is on top if you check the form source code structure.

    Thanks!
