Does JotForm take money out of peoples accounts if they put their card details in the order form?

No, JotForm does not take any money from the details entered in an order form. If the order form is connected to a payment gateway, then the money is sent to the payment processor directly.

However, upon checking your account I could see that you are collecting credit card numbers on your form using plain form fields which is against our Terms of use and our PCI compliance.

If you want to collect payments from your customers, you will need to use any of our authorized payment processors that you can integrate into your order form: Mastering-Payment-Form-Integrations-with-JotForm 

Hence in order to activate your account, we will need to delete the credit card fields that you have added in the form.
