Asked on August 09, 2020 at 06:53 PM

hello - i have a form that uploads files (i made a sample form)

when i upload a file - a new upload field is open.

when i use the form in the first time with e-mail session , everything is ok.
i can see all my uploads, and the form know what upload field is filled.

but when i come back to the form with an email session , i cant see all the uploads, the form opens only the 1st upload.

if i delete the 1st upload and upload a file again, then i can see the 2nd upload...

why can i see all my upload after returning to the email-session?

Hi there - Apologies for the inconvenience.

I checked your form and can see that you do not have Save Forms enabled that generates email sessions to complete the form later. Have you perhaps removed it or referring to a different form?

    Looking forward to your reply.

hi, thank you for responding fast.

you dont need the "save" option will be enabled.

i am using 2 forms for this (the old way) 1 is for registration and 1 taking the the info from url parameters.

you can make en email seesion on every form with "?session=" parameter.

    exsample :

    https://form.jotform.com/202186763267057?session=yourmail2@gmail.com
( or every string you want after the "session=" after the form link )

you can come back to the form with this string.

i dont use the new save and return becose there is no way to translte the english message to hebrew.

i hope that now you can tall me the prob on this form with the email session and uploads

I am sorry for the trouble caused to you. I did test your form by saving the data, and I am able to replicate the issue. Please note that the method of 2 forms to save data in session is already deprecated. You should use the new save method to save data and continue later.

For now, I am escalating this issue to our backend team. We will get back to you as soon as we have any update from them.

    thank you very much...
mabey there is a workaround for this?

if there is a way that the form will know the total time value , after the submission - it can be fixed untill the backend will fix the issue.

I am not sure if I have understood your question related to total time value. You have added one number field for each upload field and added default value in the number fields.

Please let us know the issue you are having with the time value, and we will take a look.

We will wait for your response.

there another big problem on the uploadcare widget on email-session.

when you upload files to uploadcare with email session and press "next" to the next page, it saves the pictures you uploaded. (the "next" button trigger the saving function of jotform)

if you exit the form and enter with the same email session, you can see the files.
thats what it ment to be.

but then, if you press "next" and then exit again the form
and return to it again, the files are gone!
here is a sampale form i made for you to see :
    https://form.jotform.com/202226036291042

somthing is wrong with uploadcare widget on the form calculations.
i cant use another widget to upload files.

i need this issues to be fixed, i have a lot of work finish based on the proper functioning of that form...

    thank you very much...

you can see from where the bug comes from, in the test form i made.
    https://form.jotform.com/202226036291042

i placed  indicators  that  tell if the form thinks the field is filled or empty.
i put the indicators  on upload-1 field.

you can see on email-session that on the 1st time you upload a file, the indecator "filled" is on.

but after you  exit the form and enter to it again in the same email session, you can see the upload file, but the form thinks this field is empty!!!

this bug is the reason for all the problems in the forms with uploadcare widget.
i need it to be fixed asap..please...
    thank you very much...

Unfortunately, there's no ETA for when the issue will be fixed as it would rely on our developers' workload and urgency of other escalated tickets. Rest assured you will be informed here for any updates.

    Thank you for understanding.

    Hi,

We still have not received an update regarding the issue, the team is most likely in the process of working on it. If the issue is fixed for you, it might just be that we haven't been updated yet.
