Can I create a simple editable PDF certificate?

We have been running music lessons online instead of in schools since schools closed.  We would like parents to be able to download a certificate but fill in their own child's name.

We use JotForm for an application form that we have embedded on our site for a couple of years which has worked really well and I see that you have editable PDF functions but I can't work out how to apply to our situation.

    Can someone help please?

    Thanks,

    Ali

Hi, I'm happy to help you today.

Sure, we have a lot of certificate templates, you can create one. It will be automatically filled with the student's name.

To achieve that please follow these steps:

    1. Open the form-> Click on PDF editor-> Click New document-> Name the document->Click on the right blue button-> Templates-> Choose Certificate from the dropdown list-> Select the template you like better-> Select the fields you want to be shown on the certificate(for example, the Name field). You can customize the certificate to get the look you want.

Please take a look at the screencast below for reference:

    2. Now it's time to attach this certificate to the autoresponder that will be sent to the student.

Open the form-> Settings-> Email settings-> Create an autoresponder email-> Go to the Advanced tab-> PDF attachments-> Select the PDF Certificate-> Click on Save button.

For more information please follow this guide: Setting up an Autoresponder Email

Once you've created this document and attached it to the autoresponder email, it will be automatically filled with the name of the student who you're sending the certificate to. There is no need to create a new PDF for each student.

    3. You may consider scheduling the autoresponder, otherwise it will be sent right away after the student submitted the form. For example, if you schedule it to August 12th, all the students who submitted the form will receive the certificate on August 12th.

To schedule the autoresponder, open the autoresponder settings-> Advanced-> Send emails later-> Set the date you want the email to be sent.
