Can't get the Save and Continue Later option to work

Asked by morrisanimal on July 30, 2013 at 01:37 PM

I followed the steps in the tutorial, but I can't seem to get it to work.  What I don't see is the 'Save and Continue Later' button.  Is this supposed to be automatically created?  I don't see anywhere to apply the button.  I thnk I have the 2 forms set up correctly though.

    Thanks for any help-

    Kristi

    Hi Kristi,

There's a problem with your hyperlink, it's pointing to just the URL of the form without the ?session=email parameter. You have to edit it's link on the thank you message.

    To edit,

    Thanks!

Thanks Elton!  I edited the link like you said above.  I am still not seeing the Save and Continue Later button.  What else am I missing?

    thanks,

    Kristi

    Hi Kristi,

Save and continue later feature works on its own when a session parameter is on the form URL. You don't need to use button, session URL is fine if you prefer but it is possible to use buttons. You can use simple HTML codes like this:

    <a target="_blank" href="http://www.jotform.com/form/1234567890?session={email}"><button>Click to Open Session Form</button></a>

Just replace the session URL to yours and change the text.

Just a brief description, in order for the user to retrieved the saved data, he needs to access the session URL with it's email on it. Example: http://www.jotform.com/form/1234567890?session=test@yahoo.com.

    Thanks!

    Hi Elton,

No, that is not what i mean.  If you go to my 10 page form, at the bottom of each page it says "Next" or "Previous".  It doesn't give me the option to "Save and Continue Later"  at the page breaks.
    Here is the form: http://www.morrisanimalhospital.com/form2.htm

    thanks,
    Kristi
