Dropdown options - prepopulated

    Hi There,

I want to be able to have a central "drop-down list" of items for each of my forms to refer to each time the form is loaded.

It is very taxing to have to manually do this every time I have new information, then repeat for each form.

How can I do this so drop down forms refer to an external .txt file with the dropdown information?

    Thanks,

    Anthony.

Hi, I'm happy to help you today.

Unfortunately, it's not possible to populate the dropdown field with data from an external text file. However, you can populate the dropdown field via URL parameters.

To achieve that, please follow this guide: Prepopulating Fields to Your JotForm via URL Parameters

You can create this URL once and make just a little change for each of your forms, only the dropdown field ID included in the URL parameters will vary from form to form.

Let us know if you have further questions.

    Thanks.c
