    JotForm Password Box field

Asked by Chuck on July 31, 2013 at 01:11 AM

I read in an adobe muse development forum where an individual posted intructions on how to set-up a password protected page within a muse site by using a "Password Box" field from the JotForm Power Tools menu.

However I noticed that there was no should field listed in your Prower Tools menu.

Is such a functionality available using JotForm?

    Hi Chuck,

Good day! We have removed the password field from our form builder because lot of people abuse it - used for Phishing. Our password field is not intended for that use. We have it for Conditional Logic. We basically do not allow forms with fields asking for a password specially when it combines with Email Address or Account ID or Username.

If you'd like to do it, you can use our Basic Text Box field (Under Basic Form Tools).

    Thanks

    Hello rodmazzo,

We do not support authentication form and we have already removed the "Password" field from our form builder. We also have automatic phishing system which doesn't like a combination of password questions in your form. I will automatically suspend your account.

You can still add a normal textbox and label it with some text other than password (e.g. code/key) and add our condition feature to achieve your requirement. Please be informed that it will be not be a real user authentication form and the password/key will be matched from the conditions.

Please check this thread where one of my colleague has some workaround:  http://www.jotform.com/answers/21374-How-can-I-password-protect-a-form

    Hope this helps.

Do get back to us if you have any questions.

    Thank you!

Hi, I am trying to use Jotform to create a signup form to our loyalty service at www.loyalzoo.com includng recurring billing. I understand you don't support password field due to phishing issues. So how can I give my business customers the opportunity of defining their own password when they sign up?

    Thanks.
