Multiple FBML Apps I can't update

Asked by Logitech on May 11, 2011 at 04:38 AM

Hi, I understand FB made changes to how it uses FBML although for people that already had Apps running or Forms running using FBML they still work and function. Now that JotForm has changed how you make forms for FB we can't do anything with our existing FBML apps because the service you use to get JotForm onto Facebook only allows one at a time.

When or how will this be fixed as we are paying for a service JotForm can't help us really support anymore due to the changes - so what are the latest developments?

    Hi,

The problem with FBML is that there is very little, if not inexistent, support for custom JavaScript used in embedded pages. As such, special functions in your form like validation or hover text, does not work anymore with FBML.

Instead of using TabPress to embed your form in your Facebook page, create custom iframe applications instead. You can have as many iframe applications, one for each of your forms, and have them embedded into your facebook page as tabs.

Refer to this user guide to learn how to do that - Add Form to Facebook Using a Custom Iframe Application

Let us know if you have questions or if you need clarifications regarding the steps outline in that user guide. We'll await your feedback. Thank you.

Yes so we have tried the Facebook Developer Solution which is rather cumbersome, but now we have moved to a combination of Google Sites/Forms & Jotform combined with iFrameWrapper
