Email Validation - Is there some way that we can trouble-shoot when a client didn't receive the passcode or it isn't working?

Is there some way that we can trouble-shoot when a client didn't receive the passcode or it isn't working?

    Does the passcode time out?

    Can the passcode be shortened?

Can the passcode be made more obvious in the email?

"Is there some way that we can trouble-shoot when a client didn't receive the passcode or it isn't working?"

Kindly note that it always work by default. Respondents may need to look up the email in their Spam folder if they didn't find it in their main Inbox folder.

    "Does the passcode time out?"

Unique verification codes are valid for 24 hours and can be used only once.

    "Can the passcode be shortened?"

Unfortunately, no, as its generation is entirely handed by the back-end and there's no way to set a specific pattern/template for it.

"Can the passcode be made more obvious in the email?"

You may customize the email body to make the code easier to be noticed as shown below.

I don't know how to customize the email. Does that require CSS?

The confirmed email address is not getting the confirmation email. I changed the "send on edit" condition to yes. Is that what I needed to do?

Future request on the widget: give us the option for a short passcode.

    Hi there,

No CSS code is needed to customize the email, you can simply edit the content of the email on the fields settings as what is shown in the image my colleague has provided.

The confirmed email address is not getting the confirmation email. I changed the "send on edit" condition to yes. Is that what I needed to do?

To clarify, is this question still related to the email validator, wherein the client is not receiving the passcode? I see that you have an email notification setup on your form, which I think is what you are referring to right now, wherein it's not pointing to any email address where it should be sent. Please enter an email address on where you want the email notification to be sent if a certain condition is met.

    Please confirm.

Future request on the widget: give us the option for a short passcode.

I have moved this query on a separate ticket. I may need to clarify things first before we forward this to our developers. You may refer to this thread instead https://www.jotform.com/answers/2513087, and we'll get back to you there shortly.

The issue of not getting emails is after they have confirmed the email address.

Clients are not receiving the email that they need to correct information. The condition is if TDA review is not equal to "No issues with CE info". The email recipient is the {confirmationEmail}. The email is sent on edit.

This email is part of the approval process. The client submits the form. The agency reviews the form to validate the client's information. If there is an issue with the client's information, they should receive an email with instructions to correct and re-submit.

I did check your form's condition and did not find any condition related to TDA review is not equal to "No issues with CE info" which is sending any email to (confirmatonEmail}. Please check the screenshot below:

Have you deleted this condition already? I would suggest you to please review conditions again and get back to us which condition should be triggered to send email, and we will take a look.

We will wait for your response.

Can you please authorize us to test-submit your form to see if we will receive the email or not?

Yes, please do. I did one more change -- I put the field name in the condition for "to"

    Thank you for confirming.

Kindly note that I've test-submitted your form, edited my submission via https://www.jotform.com/edit/4732508365418417804, selected "TDA review" as "Authorized representative", and immediately received the Auto-responder email via my email address I've verified via the Email Validator widget as shown below.
