    Is payment processing required?

Asked by Paula Simon on August 02, 2013 at 03:36 PM

What kind of user authorization is required to add payment processing? We want to block that option completely.

    Thanks

We will need more users, forms and submissions than the free version will permit. We would like to be able to adopt the larger plan but with the payment processing disabled/blocked. Is that possible?

    Hello Paula

Integrating a payment tools is something that must be done manually. Meaning that a form doesn't come with such feature, unless you build it. You are probably looking for something like a Purchase Order. And this is also included  in our Payment tool

Also, if you are thinking in a payment integration that will work upon Authorization, rather than automatically, this is also possible with Paypal and Authorize.net

    To accomplish this

    1.  Do a right-click on your form's payment section
    2.  Click the Show Properties option
    3.  Choose "Yes' for the Authorization Only option

    4.  Close settings then save your form

Should you need further assistance, let us know. Cheers!

Here is another way to ask. What if an internal user tries to add a credit card input field to a form – what happens?

    Hi Paula,

Maybe what would be useful in this case would be to create a sub-user for your internal user and share the forms with that sub-user. Allowing that internal user to have access to the submissions but not access to editing the forms. As descripbed in the article I've linked to below:

    @Paula,

"What if an internal user tries to add a credit card input field to a form – what happens?"

Sorry but I don't get exactly what you mean on this line. If you are accepting payments with your form, any users who paid with credit using the created form will be processed by the chosen payment gateway. Example if you choose Paypal pro payment tool which allows CC payment, any CC information entered to the form will be securely processed by this trusted payment gateway. Any sensitive data entered to the CC fields will not be captured or stored on the form. The form serves as a medium tool which ensures secure connection between the user and the payment gateway.

We also support Secure (SSL) Submissions (https). Data will be securely processed by JotForm's reliable 256 bit High-grade SSL encryption which ensures 100% secure transactions. You can find more info here: https://www.jotform.com/order-forms/

    Thanks!
