Is there a way to make vacation auto-reply features in email clients work with Jotform?

When my client sets their auto-reply to let email senders know that they will respond in a few days instead of right away, the sender gets the autoreply. Will the "reply-to" person receive it too? They're the ones who are really sending the email.

    Thanks for contacting us.

It seem I have not quite understood you request, however, If you wish the person who filled out the form receives a copy of the notification you receive, then you should use Autoresponder Email. Please refer this guide to know about Creating a Form Autoresponder.

Please let me know if i've misunderstood your question or provide us more information about what you need so that we can assist you better.

    Thanks

Thanks. To clarify, what I was askin is this:

Is the person who fills out the form and submits recognized as the "sender" by an email client such as Outlook, or are they recognized as the "reply to" address? Wanted to know for sure so we can tweak some auto-respond messages in our email clients such as Outlook.

    Thank you!

    Hi,

It is basically how you setup your form notification settings. If the "Reply-to" address is defined from your form Email Field, then MS Outlook will automatically catch the "Reply-to" Email Address and send the Vacation Auto Response there.

    Here's how:

    1. If you are using noreply@jotform.com as the Sender Email. You notification settings should be like this:

    2. If you are using SMTP Account via Mandrill or any SMTP Servers. Your form notification should be like this:

    3. If you are using Verified Email Address. Your form notification should be like this:

You'll see the difference per arrow on the screenshots, and the Email Addresses used in the settings.

Let us know if you have any further help with this function.

    Thanks

    To make it clearer:

Screenshot 1 and 3: You should setup a "Reply-to" settings (to your Email Client) since the Sender Email is a Custom Address.

Screenshot 2: There's no need for another settings in your Email Client since the Sender Email uses the "Sender's Email Address from your Form Email Field".

    Thanks

Thank you for the excellent instructions.

As a the Verified Sender, I  receive the auto-respond emails via Outlook.

So I didn't think the "reply-to" form submitter would actually receive it and do not want them too. Is there a way around that?

    Hello EllenEmmerich,

Can you ellaborate more the part where you said

So I didn't think the "reply-to" form submitter would actually receive it and do not want them too. Is there a way around that?

Reply-To address should be you, your colleagues, or clients who'll get the response data from your form.

It is optional on your Auto-responder Email to put a Reply-to email.

Recipient address should be the persons email who fills out your form. It is attached to your email field from your form.

Is this what you are asking on your last response?

Kindly let us know so that we could further assist you.

    Thank you for using JotForm.
