Migrating images and forms to another account

We realized that we needed to have a couple accounts to manage our forms.   We added a Silver for more student responses.   But unfortunately we have a ton of images with these forms.

If import forms, will it bring the images with the form?

Do you want to move forms and submissions from some other account to your account JASCPA? We can move the forms and submissions, but this request has to be made from the account on which the forms are located. Please check the option 1 from this guide:

Excellent. Will it bring all the images over too?

Hi Tom! I believe that by images, you're referring to the images collected via file upload fields on your forms. If yes, then please note that when a form is moved/transferred from one account to another, all submissions along with its configurations and uploaded files are also moved with it to the new account.

In case you're not referring to the images collected via form submissions; please let us know and we'll get back to you accordingly.

    Thank you!

Quick response. Thx. So this would be the images that we loaded into a form. Not uploads from respondents. Weve built out a series of educational learning modules
    using jotforms
that have a lot of graphics built into forms.
    thx

Hi! The images that are uploaded via the Image widget/field is stored on our cloud. The image path becomes something like: https://www.jotform.com/uploads/JASCPA/form_files/file_name.png

In the above example URL, JASCPA is the username of the uploader. Now when the Form is cloned or moved/transferred to another account, these image files are not re-created or cloned along with the actual form.

But, the original uploader cannot delete these files once uploaded. There is a "DELETE IMAGE" option that users (original uploaders) see for their uploaded images (shown in the screenshot below). That option only removes the image link for that particular user in that widget and not the actual image. So, the image path is still accessible and usable.

In short, images uploaded to JotForm via the Image widget are never deleted. These don't get moved with form transfers but there is also no need to move it as the files are always present on the JotForm servers.

I hope this information helps. For further queries, feel free to write back to us.

    Thank you!

So if I understood you correctly… the image upload address remains the same and the moved form will still link to the image? Thx much

    Hi Tom,

Yes, that is correct. The images should be still accessible but just in case if you face any issues then let us know and we will be glad to provide assistance.

    Thanks.

As mentioned by our colleague in this post, the form transfer request should be made by the account owner. If you are referring to move the forms from your account to a different account, please let us know form IDs/URLs and the target username so that we can proceed.

    Thank you!
