    Jot form down

    Hay

    Seems like Jotform is down on both of my sites. Is this a general problem or do i just face this issue?

    Hi Gion,

    There have been no reports of service downtime today. Could it be your internet connection that has a problem? I checked all of your forms and they all seem to be fine.

    I wouldn't be able to send you a message if internet connection has problem ;).... Just kidding. Everything seems to be fine except the forms.

    I checked all my sites today again and unfortunalty the forms still don't work. No idea what is the cause since the rest of the site works perfectly fine.

    It was working fine before. Its kind strange that all sites i use jotform have the same issue, actually 3 not 2. So this is why i guess is related to jotform. But it seems not to be general problem so could it be an account specific problem maybe?

    They are all wordpress based and i used the script code to integrate jotform. I didn't make any changes on the sites the past days.

    Hope really we can solve the issue very soon, since on one of the sites we use jotform as order forms, but unfortunatly they don't work right now.

    Gion,

    During the times between your posts I have been checking your forms and I never encountered any down time, at all.

    Now looking at your website, I see that you have embedded the forms using the script Embed <> code, which will not work if your browser doesn't have JavaScript enabled.

    I think you are using Safari so you need to follow the instructions below on how to enable JavaScript.

    1.  Go to Edit Menu at the top of the Safari window
    2.  Click Preferences. A new screen should appear
    3.  Click the Security button then check the Enable JavaScript option

     

    Also, you may want to embed using iFrame codes instead of script Embed<> codes. That way, even if your visitor doesn't have JavaScript enabled, he will still be able to see the form (although the validation would not work without JavaScript).

    To get your iframe embed codes

    1.  Go to Setup & Embed tab
    2.  Click Embed Form
    3.  Click iFrame
    4.  Copy the codes provided in the next screen

    Sorry, you got it wrong ;). No i don't use safari i use Firefox. Then i wrote in the previous message that everything worked fine till few days back. I checked on my windows and on my mac computer, on both the same issue. I use on both firefox and javascript was always enabled.

    I have a question. Can you see the form on the website?
    If you can then i have to figure out why i can't, but others still can. Most important is anyways that others can, since i am not going to contact myself :)....

    By the way i just tested the preview of iframe and seems like i get the timeout error message. So its kind a strange jotform website works and i can see all the forms. i can edit them and also see the preview, but if i want to preview through iframe there is a timeout error and on website i can't see them either. Kind a weird.

    Thank you for your prompt response. I was able to open your form using 4 different browsers in Windows:

    Could it be that there were settings that were changed in your Mac machine? Have you tried using another Mac or PC? If not yet, please do so that we can isolate the cause of the issue.

    I have checked and i found the problem. It seems that reseting the router was the solution of the problem. We don't have  a static IP so it might be possible that an IP was assigned the past days where Jot forms was blocked. Its working fine now and next time i'll reset first the router if similar problem occures. I am sorry for the inconvenient caused and would like to thank you for the kind support. I really appreciate this.

    My hunch was right! The culprit was indeed your internet connection! Heh, kidding. Anyway, we are glad that you were finally able to isolate the cause of the problem.

    Yep your hunch was right....:)
    Too bad everything else was working otherwise would have been clear.... Next time i know what to do first.
    But i hope i don't get so soon an IP where Jotforms is blocked from....

    Anyways thanks again. You guys have really a great support. Many other service providers could learn from you how to take care their members :)....
