How do I create an approval workflow?

Is there a way to do dual signatures or approval workflow? For example, the employee signs a time-off form and the supervisor needs to sign it too before it goes to Accounting. Is there a way to do this in Jotform?

To get mobile and desktop capabilities, are there two different subscriptions we have to pay for? Do form submitters have to have the mobile app or can they fill out the form with any internet browser?

Is there a cost per submission on each form?

Hi, I'm happy to help you today.

    1. Sure, is is possible to create a dual signatures workflows. Please follow this guide for a step-by-step explanation:

A General Approach on Building an Approval Process Workflow
This guide suggests to add a dropdown field with "approved" or "unapproved" values. However, you can add any fields to create the workflow you need.

    2. Desktop and mobile capabilities are allowed for any of our subscription plans. You don't have to pay any additional costs to use both capabilities.

The user can submit the form without having a Jotform account and using any device and any browser. Users don't need to have the mobile application.

    3. On the FREE plan you can get up to 100 submissions per month. On the Bronze plan you can get up to 1000 submissions. If you need more submissions, you can choose a higher plan.

I looked at the workflow link you provided. How does it work when you may need to specify a different supervisor based on each employee for approval? Do you have a dropdown with all the supervisor names and each employee picks their supervisor name? And then that creates conditional logic to use that supervisor only in the approval process.

You need to make different sections and add the approval options in each section. You may use a collapse element to segregate each section:

    1. Conditionally, you need to show and hide each section once the edit link is emailed to the one as per conditional email.
