how can I make payment required on this form?

Asked by DillanD on August 09, 2013 at 05:11 PM

I created this form but I'm not able to make payment required using the HTML option you provided.

People are signing up for the program without paying anything so I need to fix it for people have to select one payment option before submitting their form.

    thank you!

This is a touchy topic to be honest. I can see that you are using the Donation Option in your Payment Tool Integration. Additionally I also see that the field is already marked as Required. Unfortunately we don't yet have an actual fix for this on our forms other then issues with things not working correctly when JavaScript is Disabled. This is a problem due to the fact that this can cause problems on your form which users can sometimes get away with submitting through your form and yet it was still marked as Required but that happened due to the fact that several features on our forms rely on the Browsers JavaScript Functions. It is mostly because of outdated browsers or users disabling JS themselves.

Another way you could get around this is by using a Script like the one I am providing below which will hide the form if JavaScript is Disabled. Here's a Test Video where you can view what happens when I've disabled/enabled Javascript in my browser using the Script. You'll note that at first the form works and displays but as soon as I've disabled Java in my Browser then it only shows an Error Message which is displayed and then disappears when JS is re-enabled allowing it to be used again. Perhaps something like this might be of use to you for now.
