Spreadsheet to Form Widget: Auto-populate once matched without clicking the button

The widget is good. Is there a way to have the form automatically populate itself without the "auto complete fields" button ?

We are scanning a QR code which generates a specific url and it would be great if the form would just autofill automatically. (https://form.jotform.com/201774608478061)

Are there any plans of making this possible?

    Best regards

To clarify, do you want to save data in your QR and populate a field or do you want the QR code to have the functionality of the Spreadsheet to form?

    Looking forward for your response.

The QR Code generates a unique url which is the identifier in the spreadsheet.

All I want is, that as soon as the identifier is recognized in the spreadsheet it populates the fields with the data in the spreadsheet without having to press the "auto complete fields" button.

    I hope that explains it.

    Best regards

Unfortunately, you must click the Populate field button for the spreadsheet to form widget to populate the fields with the values from the spreadsheet.

There is no option that would automatically trigger the widget.

    Hope this information helps.

    Ok.

Is it possible to implement that functionality?

It would significantly improve the widget.

I have escalated that as a feature request so hopefully the widget team would consider it in the future updates. Thanks

Unfortunately, there's currently no update about this. This also has low priority for now since it is an optional feature and we also usually consider the volume of requests before implementing features or changes. Rest assured, once this is rolled out in the future, you will be informed here.

    Hi there,

We have updated the "Spreadsheet to Form" widget and now if the widget's input field gets a value through the conditions the widget gets the data automatically and no need to press on the button anymore.

    Hello,

A new parameter "Autofill By Condition" was added to the widget's settings. Now you can enable/disable this feature in the widget's settings. The default value is "No".

Please configure the widget's settings in the "Form Builder" if you want to enable this feature.
