The total is not calculating correctly

I have a 5 question quiz, multiple choice, 2 answers for each. I don't seem to be able to get it to give me a tally of the correct responses. I gave the correct response a value of 1 and the incorrect response a value of 0.

I see that there is only 4 option added to the total score:

Please add the 5th question too.

I hope this will solve the issue.

    Thanks.

Added 5th question, but still does not sum correct responses properly.

Hello! I just checked your Form and didn't find any issues with it. I selected the following combination and the Score value that I received was 5 which seems to be correct as per set Calculation Values for the Single Option fields values (screenshot attached below for your reference).

    Q) May we know for which value combination you're getting an incorrect value?

    Awaiting your response.

I am not getting a score on my spreadsheet for each submission. I set up a new practice document with what I thought were the same settings and no score is showing after entry is submitted.  HELP! https://form.jotform.com/202594591720962

Does it matter when the "correct" answers are scored? This is being used as a contest form and the correct answers will not be known until after all the submissions have been made.

I Can see the scores on your submissions page. Form respondent will not know their score because the field is hidden on the form.

Feel free to let us know if I failed to answer your question.

Look at the spreadsheet for https://www.jotform.com/sheets/202594591720962 and tell me why it isn't showing the total of the correct answers? I have to enter the correct answers after all the contest forms have been completed.

I did check your form and found that the calculation formula you have added in form calculation widget is not correct. Please check the screenshot below:

I have fixed this issue in your form's calculation widget. Please test your form and see if the calculation is working as expected.

Do get back to us if you have any questions. (I have not added "DOMINOS TIEBREAK QUESTION" in the calculation. Go ahead and add it in form calculation widget if you need the value to be added in calculation).

The values (1 for the winning team and keep the 0 for the losing team) have to be entered after all the forms have been submitted. I put zeroes in for both teams initially, resulting in a score of 0. I went back in and changed the first 3 or 4 values of who the winning team might be and the score does not change although a couple of the teams selected now have a value of one.

It appears the "correct" answers must be placed in before the submissions are received to be scored? It will tabulate scores if I put the values in prior to sending in a submission, but the contest can't work that way.

Yes, correct. Unfortunately, the calculation only works on the form, not on the submissions page.

Let us know if you have more questions.

Thanks for the answer Jimmy_D. Wasn't the one I wanted, but at least I know I was trying to make something happen jotform isn't designed to do. Would be a great feature for contest platform if the values could be added post submission. Thanks again

Do you want to change the score of the questions every time? Do you want to compare the score obtained?

May we know in detail how you would like to see your survey form? Could you please brief us on your requirement?

    Looking forward to your response.

    Thanks.

We are using the form in a contest where the correct answer will not be known until AFTER all the submissions have been received for that week. Until the submission deadline passes, we need to have both answers value=0. Once we know the correct answer after the submission deadline then we want to give the correct response a value=1. We had hoped the submissions spreadsheet score column would then have the correct number of answers for each participant.

The form works the way we need it to with the exception of being able to get a submission score by substituting a value=1 for 0 on what we know is the correct response after the deadline.

That would allow us to simply compare scores instead of having to tally correct responses from each submission.

Generally, a feature request may be granted if the feature is applicable/useable by the majority of our users.

Reviewing your form, it seems that your asking like a prediction on who's gonna win next week. Then when you already know who exactly won, you'd like to know who among your respondents have correctly guessed the most.

What you want can only be done by editing the calculation values of each field, then manually editing each submission so that the total will be calculated.

That is what I thought and is not something I would do with the number of submissions expected. I'll simply visually count the number of correct responses on each submission. At least the spreadsheet makes it easier than having to check each email separately. Thank you.
