How can we print the submissions in the format of the jotform rather than with each item line after line?

Asked by hgwetzel on August 21, 2013 at 05:29 PM

Essentially, when we print the submissions it's just line after line of the questions and their answers but we use this as our New Patient Intake Forms and we have it laid out in the actual jotform in a certain way that helps follow the flow but it wont' print that way.  Any ideas how to get it to print so it looks just like the jotform?

If I understand you correctly, you wanted the print output of the submission results to be exactly like how the form look was setup

Unfortunatelly, you cannot alter or customize the print output using the Submissions PRINT button.

The closest work around I could come up with is to have the submission printed right after each submission. Because at this time, you will still have a chance to re-arrange or create a template page that will resemble the form but with submission data already and print.

You can use the custom Thank you page template.

In the TY page, you can transfer all the available fields from the email notification template using the html source

You can then customize the TY page and print.

You may also try using 2 forms that are exactly the same. Except the 2nd form do not have Submit button but only a Print button

Since the form are exactly the same, you can pre-populate the 2nd form with values from 1st form after the 1st form is submitted. When the 2nd form opened, all the fields are pre-populated but it cannot be submitted but printed instead.

Here is a sample form that pre-populate 2nd form http://jotformpro.com/form/31427061944957

Hope this help. Inform us if you need further assistance.
