If you want to stop redirect the user to the external link, you can simply switch back to the default confirmation message, example:

I do not want the form to go to a different page AT ALL. Even when it is on the external URL option, it is redirecting to this page: https://submit.jotform.com/submit/202664257989067/
I want it to submit and show a success message on the SAME page, without going anywhere. Is this possible?

Hello @bachechi,
Unfortunately, it is not possible prevent a form from redirecting to the submit route. In order for the form submission data to be saved, the form will need to redirect to this route https://submit.jotform.com/submit/{submissionID}.
The only option to skip the Thank You page is to redirect to an external URL, which will still submit the form at the URL shown above but will redirect to another URL as soon as the submit route is reached.
You can choose to either redirect to an external URL or show a Thank You page after each submission. Unfortunately, we do not currently provide any alternatives to this feature.
Please let us know if you have any further questions or concerns, we are happy to help.
