    Hello!

I created a "Time off request" form for a client of mine. The client wanted the ability to use hidden forms to allow to approve or deny the requests. I have set that up by allowing the employee submitting the form to receive a notification email upon completion, as well as the administrator or "manager." The manager then will utilize an email template to edit the submission, and change the hidden form from "Pending" to "Approved or Denied."

Only issue, is that when I create a link for the "Edit Submission" page, and create a link to "View in PDF," the links break. Why is that?

I had it working before, but after being forced to redesign the email template, the links then broke.. What am I doing wrong?

Based from the screenshot, you have hardcoded the submission ID as well.  Please take note that every submission, each has a corresponding unique submission ID.  This means, you'll need to replace this part
         &sid=23124436261877570&mode=edit

    to
         &sid={id}&mode=edit

Also, I noticed that you changed the edit link to /{edit_link}.  This won't work because the template variable generates its own clickable link.

If you have other questions or concerns, please do let us know.

    Thanks.

I used the "Insert/Edit Link" function to add the code, and copied the {edit_link} shortcode. I did not hard code any of it, and when I do hard code it, it changes back

    Hi,

I've check your form and it has been deleted. Can you please let us know the new form so we can check?

You should be able to correct this if you will use just the "tags" such as {edit_link} and {pdf-link}. Anyway, you can use the below URL if you want it to be hyperlink to a text:

    http://submit.jotform.us/form.php?formID=FORM ID HERE&sid={id}&mode=edit

    http://submit.jotform.us/server.php?action=getSubmissionPDF&sid={id}&formID=FORM ID HERE

Change FORM ID HERE with your actual Form ID Numbers.

    Thanks
