Product List field, Buying multiple items with different options

    Hello,

    I am working with the Product Lists widget.

    https://form.jotform.com/202730959202048

    What seems to be sorely missing is the ability to order multiple items with different options.

    In the above example, a customer cannot buy:
    Two(2) XL hoodies, 1 red, 1 yellow.

    They can buy multiple items of a size, but they all need to be the same color.

    Ideally, after selecting the number of items, the customer should be able to select the options (all options) for each item.

    Is there a way to achieve this?
    Other tan creating separate Products for each size. User experience is important after all :-)

    Thanks,
    Bruce

    Hi there,

    We understand your concern but currently, this is not possible yet we have escalated a request to our developers. However, we can’t give you an ETA on it, as it depends on their workload. We will inform you on this thread if they have any updates.

    An alternative workaround is to create sub-products based on color option rather than size, it'll not fix your problem completely but it will diminish undesired possibilities;

    In the FORM BUILDER, please go to PRODUCT LIST settings by clicking the list icon right next to the field > edit the product you want to change by clicking the PEN icon on it > scroll down and click on edit to configure TSHIRT option > toggle off the Create Sub-Products option > Click on SAVE OPTION below > then click on SAVE PRODUCT button at the bottom of the right menu.

    Then TOGGLE ON Create Sub-Products for the COLOR option following the same steps above.

    OR you can create CATEGORIES for your products according to their color, which will solve the multiple selection problem. Here is how to do that;

    First, toggle off the sub-products for the TSHIRT option and remove the COLOR option from product options.

    While in the Product List menu, go to SETTINGS > Toggle on ENABLE CATEGORIES and SHOW CATEGORY TITLES > Enter the color options as a category > then apply them to your desired product by clicking on the + icon next to categories.

    Let us know if you have any further questions.

    Thanks for your reply.

    As to your first suggestion:
    Scenario 1: I want 2 shirts for myself, 2 XL and want white and blue
    Scenario 2: I want 2 white shirts (one for me, one for my wife) we are different sizes.

    My set up works for Scenario 2, your set up works for Scenario 1.

    Well, you have already acknowledged the need, and a request has been escalated. So, I guess we will just have to wait :-)

    I want to avoid creating multiple items/categories by color. User experience, and all that.

    Thanks for taking the time to reply though.

    Regards,
    Bruce

    Hello Bruce,

    Though we will not be able to provide an ETA as to when the feature will get implemented, you will be informed via this ticket when it does.

    Thanks for your understanding!
