I love your product and have succeeded in getting much of our medical practice's forms and documents online with Jotform.
There's just one problem...
Sometimes the clinical environment (surgeries, lead shielded x-ray rooms, etc) prevent wifi internet access - and so we can't access patient details.
Could you PLEASE develop an offline mode, so we can review past data and make notes on the patient's file - and then have the updates upload / sync once reconnected. Pretty please??

Unfortunately, using the forms offline is not possible. Since the redirection of pages needs to be sent to our server for processing. Hence, every form contains http://submit.jotform.com/submit.php which requires internet connection for processing.
Apologies for not having this feature but it has already been suggested to our developers.

Is there no way to at least store a basic backup on the device while not online? Even better if there is some way to record details which need to be uploaded/updated once reconnected.
Anything at all? I would even welcome advice on how to back up a file to some other app or program.
Any advice gratefully accepted.

You can actually download your form submissions to excel or CSV format. This will served as your backup and would allow you to view the file locally even without internet. Isn't this enough to fulfill your needs? How to Download Form Submissions to Excel/CSV/PDF
We will also release an Android App soon. So far while testing it's beta, I can access the downloaded form submissions data even if internet is offline while my login is active. I couldn't say exactly when this will be rolled out but we can notify you via this thread.

Is there going to be an iPad app developed for an offline form?

Can you please start a new thread for your questions? That way we will be able to track your issue separately.
