    Horizontal Form Spacing

    Asked by daniellec on August 28, 2013 at 11:28 AM

    Good morning! I need your help. I am trying to get my spacing right between form fields, first off. and then my background is 1,000 px wide, but the background is going from one side of my site to the next and never ending. Here's the URL to my website where i have the jotform, you'll see it right under the big slide photo: http://floridatraumaticbraininjury.org/ and then the one I want it to look like is here: http://www.brainandspinalcord.org/blog . Is that possible with Jotform? Help please! :) :)

    Thank you so much,

    Hi,

    In order to fix the width of your form you should place the iframe code inside a div container with a fixed width and same margin properties too like the one containing the slider

    and in order to make the fields look like the example that you share you can start by changing the fields size, with the field size propertie.

    Hope it helps

    please let us know if you need further assistance

    thanks

    My question is, what's the point in having the "Form Width" button, if I cant really specify how wide I want my form? Is the background just not included in that.. Just the form fields? That confuses me every time.

    I used the iframe and specified the width from 100% to 1024 PX (size of my slider). Now it is the correct size, but it is off to the left? Any quick fix for that or do I need to put it in a div container? Thanks again! :)

    Could try by adding this 2 properties to your  iframe style tag?

    margin:auto; display: block;

    Thanks!

    Ah one more thing, sorry! For the spacing, as you can see there's quite a bit of space between form fields, any way I can get them closer together? Can I add anything to the CSS to make that happen? I can make the actual form field longer, I know that, but even still there's space between that's just too much. I went into preferences and made it to "0" but it's still too much. Any ideas?
    Thank you so much!

    could you try with this css code, you can change it to fits your needs(top, right, bottom, left) values.

    .form-line {padding: 10px 3px 10px 3px !important;}

    Hope it helps
