    Resetting part of form?

    Asked by AA_C on September 01, 2013 at 12:50 PM

    This is my second question about the problem. I tried as suggested by Jed using some javascript to do a partial reset by id.

    I used the following code, not exactily as he showed, and it did not work;

    <button id="reset">Event Reset</button>

    <script type="text/javascript">

           $('button.reset').onclick= function(){

    // data for event start date

                                    var field = document.getElementById('day_32','month_32','year_32');

    // reset to default

                                    field.value= field.defaultValue;

    I also tried using the <div> id for the element as follows

    var field = document.getElementById('cid_32');

    This was also unsuccessful.

    Also there is popup message that appears when I use the Ëvent Reset" asking to acknowledge  resetting the "FORM". I would like it to ask about resetting the event. I assume I would add some additional javascript to the "Event Reset" to display the text I want and hope the default popup is not displayed also...???

    I have 36 event fields to reset. I'm sure it is not a complicated fix if I knew what to do.

    I can add the URL if need be.

    Thanks again,
