How to insert Google Analytics to the form?Asked by oseo5511 on September 01, 2013 at 04:50 PM
Custom domain - Google analytics? Obviously, there are no pages built, just a nice little trick show ;) so how can we track clicks and timings, etc with Google Analytics in this case? Any hope?
Perhaps the disussion on this similar thread can help answer for your inquiry already.
Please inform us if you have further question.
perhaps i did not make myself clear, this is not about embedded forms, this is about forms that are hosted on a custom subdomain masking jotform's domain. there is no header, there is not html or anyt other kind of page.
that thread was of absolutely no use to me.
Are you telling me jotform itself has no way to directly interact with google analytics?!!?! that is a shock!
is there not a way that the back-end of jotform can be directly hooked up? there has to be a way without creating a page/embedding!!!
both these accounts are ours. for different clients. but the need is identical to be clear.
So you mean, you are using the Custom Domain Direct Form URL to let your users/customers access the form and submit data?
Are you telling me jotform itself has no way to directly interact with google analytics?
-You are correct. We don't have a function or an option to add Google Analytics Codes in the form itself. Google Analytics can only be done using a workaround such as the thread provided by my colleague. This is the only way or one of the ways you can accomplish this to the form.
Is there not a way that the back-end of jotform can be directly hooked up?
-Unfortunately, nothing. As I have mentioned, for now, this can only be done using a workarounds.
Forms created on Custom Domains are still embeddable. You can achieve that through the use of the workarounds. But, unless you won't be using the embed methods.
I see JotForms has a widget for Google Analytics. Will that work?
We've updated the Google Analytics widget to work with Universal Analytics.
