After adding embed code to my site, the form height is suddenly 1583px, rather than the actual height of the form.

This leaves *a lot* of empty space at the bottom of my form.  I've tried editing the code once the embed code unfurls (for lack of a better term), but any changes I make to that code are overridden immediately.  Is there somewhere I can control the height of the form?

Yes, you can change the height of the form. Just need to modify the iframe code.

    <iframe id="JotFormIFrame" onload="window.parent.scrollTo(0,0)" allowtransparency="true" src="https://secure.jotform.us/form/32367954398167" frameborder="0" style="width:100%; height:auto; border:none;" scrolling="no"></iframe>

ie: height:500px; or to any number to suit your website.
