Hello, we are a small high school that uses jotform to receive applications.

A parent just emailed to say that they submitted the (lengthy) application only to receive the following error message:

    Error

Form ID did not match. Form ID: Form Name: nojavascript...window.history.back(-1)

I went into the backend to try and find the application for a student named "Walter Becker" and nothing comes up.

    PLEASE help.

    We apologize for the inconvenience.

Unfortunately, the error means the form has failed to submit. You can't find it in the list of submissions as it is not saved. You have to ask the parent to re-submit the form. I understand that it may frustrate the parent, but there is no other way unless they saved a session in the form (Save) button.

As a precaution, you may want to instruct the parent to always hit the Save button after completing fields on each section collapse in the form.

Now, since the Save and Submit buttons are placed at the last collapse, you may want to display that by default. To do so, you only need to add a new collapse just above the save/submit button and set it to be visible by default. Like the following:
