Hidden fields shown when in edit mode

I have created a form that is working as an approval form. That is the requestor fills it out. A message is sent to the first approver. They use the edit link in the email to approve this form. An email is then sent to a second approver who then can approve it.

The problem I am having is that when the first approver clicks on the edit link from the email, the form seems to totally disregard hidden fields. In particular the Show OFT fields field. This is suppose to be hidden. I even created a condition where if the form URL contains edit then it will hide this field. That did not seem to do anything.

How can I have it such that hidden fields stay hidden when in edit mode?

You are able to see the hidden field because you are logged in to your JotForm account, and as a form owner, you have the privilege to make so called "admin" edits even on hidden fields (hidden using the field's properties but not hidden thru a condition).

For regular users, they won't be able to see the hidden fields even when editing the submission. You can confirm this by opening the edit link in an incognito window or using another browser.
