    My form for making a credit card donation is not working...

    Hello, I have a form built into a website for making an online donation. The JotForm is set up to give you the choice of either checking out with PayPal or just entering a credit card. I've used the Paypal option, and it works fine. Though when I try the basic "enter credit card info" option, it comes up and says: " INVALID CONFIGURATION: This transaction cannot be processed due to an invalid merchant configuration."

    Please advise - I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

    I just noticed selecting the payment as a "donation" in the jotform settings for the payment section ONLY allows PayPal as an option (even though it still shows the other..?) so I unchecked the box saying that "we are a nonprofit and this is a donation" - and reembedded it. And it is still giving me the error message.  arrghhh.

    Help?

    Hi Joshua,

    Are you still having this issue? I noticed that you have updated the donation form already on your website http://vcphoto.org/donate/ 

    As for the merchant configuration issue , this usually is associated to incorrect paypal merchant billing configuration on the paypal side.

    Please check this similar thread -- see if your issue is similar to what was discussed on the topic and perhaps you can also apply the same solution mentioned.

    Inform us if the issue persist.

    I looked into it and looked at that link you provided and it seemed at first that I just had to go into my PayPal account settings and "activate/enable my billing agreement" (whatever that means) - I couldnt find anything about it in my settings so I called PayPal and they said everything looks fine on their end and that the error message was actually a pretty default error and that its most likely an issue with our web host. We currently use Dreamhost and I have not called them yet - but I just dont understand why this is an issue. She said there may be some compatability issues with JotForm being a third party program that doesnt work with Dreamhost...??

    Should I call Dreamhost?

    Hi Joshua,

    Before you contact your web host, perhaps you should also try first re-embedding the form using its iframe code. Use this guide Getting-the-Form-iFrame-Code 

    Using iframe code ususlly prevent any script conflict that could be causing issue on the form.

    After re-embedding, test again using the "Credit Card" option.
