I don't know what I am doing wrong. I am trying to set up paypal standard so I can have people pay me straight to paypal when they fill out the form. However, when I tried it myself to test it, it keeps saying "things don't appear to be working". Why not? Do I need to contact paypal?

Hi Dorieyirm,
I tested your form and I was properly redirected to PayPal after submitting:
Check to ensure IPN is enabled in your PayPal account and that the account is able to accept payments at this time:

Let us know if the issue persists.

Hi there,
Your form seems to be working fine here as well as you can see below I was redirected to PayPal successfully.
Can you please try a different internet connection and a PC? You can also try incognito window or a different browser as well.
Looking forward to your reply.
Thanks.

dorieyirmReplied on October 27, 2020 at 1:28 AMMaybe I don't know what I'm doing. I'm doing this with paypal personal and
then I fill out the form and then it takes me to the paypal page. I only
have one account so I go to the "pay with credit card" option. I enter my
cc info and then it shows me this message that it didn't work. Is it
because I am not set up for credit cards? If so, how do I accept cc's?

In this case, you'll have to contact PayPal support as you may need a PayPal business account or a different level PayPal account to collect credit card payments.

Let us know if you need further assistance.
Thanks.

So I contacted paypal and they could not help me with this. When I told them I was trying to take payments on jotform with my paypal account, they basically had no idea was I was talking about. I also just tried to do it with paypal pro and I entered all the API info but after filling out a form and trying to pay, it gave me the attached message. Not sure what it means but is there anything else you could think of? I really wanted to just use my paypal account and not some other gateway I am not familiar with.

Sorry to drive you crazy. So I set up square instead and although it worked the first time, I tried it again just to make sure and now I always get this message. Any idea what it means?
