Is there a character you can use as optional in an input mask?
Example would be I want the user to input a number with one digit after the decimal point.
#.# would work until they might need to enter 10.5.
Thanks

Please try using [#] brackets for optional characters. Also, there is a Masked Input widget available. I'm not sure if it would suit your needs, but please give it a try:
