How to use Conditional Logic in Matrix Field questions/options?

Asked by INOVATEC on September 09, 2013 at 10:31 PM

    Dear Sir/Madam

On the survey I'm developing, I changed the conditions to when I insert an option, it allows to appear another  depending on the answer given. So, I changed the conditions for when you select an option equal to X then it will appear Y. In my survey, as you can see in picture 1, when you select the answer "Atende (A)" it will appear another question just beside; but if you select "Não Atende (NA)" nothing will appear on survey. I think until here it's not complicated.

Nevertheless, I want to do the same thing, but using Matrix questions and not in individual questions. However when I go to the conditions to make the restrictions, the JotForm didn't allow me to select individual questions of the Matrix to do this restrictions. As you can see in picture 2, when I select the answer “Atende (A)”, it’s OK. Though when I select the answer "Não Atende (NA)" it still appears the field just beside to respond and I don’t want this field appears. So, I wonder if it’s possible to do this restrictions as I made in individually questions but instead of this one I want as a Matrix questions.

    Thank you for your consideration.

    Hi,

Unfortunately, that is not possible with Matrix Field. There is no way you can select an individual option in Matrix Field to use in any logic of the form.

I suggest using the option per your first image. Using individual field (Drodown field). We can help you do that within your form. Just please let us know the Form URL so we can check and correct the field "Não Atende (NA)".

    Thanks
