There is a new version of Google Analytics, which has a new tracking ID structure, as follows:
G-XXXXXXXXXX
Will this work with Jotform?
I recently added a new "Data Stream" to the Jotform in Google Analytics Admin > Account > Properties > Data Stream
Data Streams have replaced the Tracking Information in the previous version of Google Analytics.
QUESTION 01:
When embedding a Jotform on an external web page, do we use the jotform URL, or the URL from the page the form is embedded on when setting up tracking Google Analytics Widget?
In other words, what URL do we use in Google Analytics:
A. The jotform URL (https://hipaa.jotform.com/XXXXXXXXXXXX)
B. The URL where the jotform will be embedded? (https://www.website.com/page)
QUESTION 02:
So far, Google Analytics does not appear to be working for my Jotform. Can anyone confirm if the Google Analytics Widget works with Google Analytics Data Streams? -

Hi,
For #1
You need to set up JotForm domains to be included in your google analytics referral exclusion lists. This is to prevent some instances of the google analytics widget using the form URL as the referral source link.
Please check on how on this link https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/2795830?hl=en
Note, that the form submits domain name might be a bit different, here are some examples:
submit.jotform.com
submit.jotformpro.com
submit.jotform.us
submit.jotform.co
submit.jotform.me
submit.jotformeu.com

The google analytics widget is up to date so it should work when properly configured.
I hope this help. Let us know if you need further assistance.

I am not seeing any data coming in to Google Analytics using the new "Data Stream." I will test on a non-embedded form and see if it works.

Question 1 was never answered.
QUESTION 01:
What "Website URL" do we use in Google Analytics when creating a new Data Stream/Property?:
A. The jotform URL (https://hipaa.jotform.com/XXXXXXXXXXXX)
B. The URL where the jotform will be embedded? (https://www.website.com/page)
Pretty sure it is the jotform URL (A), but want to confirm.

Yes, you are correct. It is option A.
My colleague had already responded to question 1 in his earlier response.
If you have any further questions, please do let us know.

Your colleague did respond, however your colleague did not specify A or B as the correct answer.
In my testing, Jotform's Google Analytics widget is not compatible with the brand new Google Analytics Data Streams. Still receiving no data.
I will continue to test.

Hello! It seems that Google Analytics have made some changes to the Analytics working and the the generated new Analytics ID doesn't seem to be working with the JotForm widget.
However, even though the new ID length differs from that of the old ID, the generated integration code by Google is the same (as shown in the following screenshots):
If I use an old ID with JotForm's Analytics widget, it works but the new ID doesn't. I am not quite sure why. Though Google Analytics is now generating this new ID only by default, which is not working with JotForm widget; for this reason, this might need to be escalated further so that the concerned department could take a look. However, I think I should wait as I see the following message when I tried to view the analytics data:
Also, kindly answer this question, it'll helps us to further troubleshoot this issue: This new ID isn't working with the JotForm widget, but is it also not working for you if embedded directly on your website?
Awaiting your response.
Thank you!

Hi! Update: The old ID (Universal Analytics property) can still be generated from the "Advanced options" section while creating the property as shown in the screenshot below:
I just checked by creating this universal ID and then integrating the UA ID with the JotForm Analytics widget and it worked.
Please give it a try. In case of any issues, let us know.
Thank you!

SOLUTION CONFIRMED: I was able to get the old Google Analytics tracking ID: UA-XXXXXXXXX-XX, but you must choose the following settings on Property Creation:
IMPORTANT STEPS TO MAKE THIS WORK:- You must create a new property
- Click Show advanced options towards the bottom of the new property screen
- Toggle the option on
- You MUST choose Create a Universal Analytics Property Only radio button
- Following these steps brings back the "Tracking Info" and "Tracking Code" options and this is where the old tracking code can be found.
- While this does work, it prevents us from using the new Google Analytics UI and new features
