    Hi,

Please advise how can I print a document such as an agreement / contract by populating data fields from a record in a table.

It will need to be pretty simple, including company logo, some text and some fields from a record to be presented on the document.

    Thank you!

You may create a PDF document based on your form submission and can customize it in any manner to show it as an agreement with the logo, tables, etc.

Select the form, go to More, and click on Open PDF Editor:

After that create a PDF document:

Do try this out and let us know if it helps.

    Hello,

    Thank you for your assistance.

Wanted to clarify though my previous question.

I meant being able to retrieve data fields from an existing record in a table and populate with the fields a document such as a contract or other document which will need few fields of data from a record.

    Thank you!

Hi - I'm not sure if I understood you correctly. Do you wish to have where the signature is pre-filled? If so, unfortunately, it isn't possible.

Do you perhaps have an existing fillable PDF? You may want to try our Smart PDF forms so you can collect responses, and download them as a PDF that has the same format as your original PDF, with all the questions filled out.

    Hi,

    Thank you for your reply.

I wanted to ask if possible to retrieve fields from an existing record like your tables have from previous data collection and then be able to populate with these fields documents such as contracts, bills of lading, etc. and be able to print them in to PDF.

This part which I am asking as nothing to do with collecting data but rather with utilizing already collected data on the record on a table and using the data (fields from a record) to create a new document - contract, bill of lading, etc.

    Is that doable somehow?

    Thank you!

Sorry for the confusion. Do you mean that you already have the data in an Excel or some other table other than JotForm? If so, you may use Smart PDF Forms to import the PDF document/agreement that you may be having to JotForm or create a new form as per your requirements. Then you can import existing data to the imported form submission by using Import Submissions App.

This data can be populated to the Smart PDF form imported or a new PDF document that you can create in the PDF editor and print it.

If you referring to something different, please provide us with the screenshot of the PDF document/agreement and the form ID/URL from your account so that we can check and guide you in the right direction.

    Thanks!

    Thank you for your reply.

Our idea is to try implementing the new service of JotForm Tables as a CRM.

We will have records with fields already in the JotForm Table and then we would want to print a document - contract, bill of lading, etc. from an existing record on an existing table on JotForm system.

The question if such feature is doable. If so it can help us tremendously to truly implement the use of JotForm Tables as a CRM to add records but also be able to utilize data (fields from records already in the table) to print documents.

    Thank you!

Please note that the submissions received to your JotForm shall be displayed in the Tables. As mentioned by our colleague in the first response, you can create a PDF document for the JotForm in the format of agreement or contract so that the submission data received to the form can be populated. The Tables view is one of the formats that you can view the submissions received to your form. However, there is much more can be done with Tables view viz., importing data from other forms, create reports and different view.

Hope this clarifies. If you have any other questions, please let us know. We will be happy to help.
