Hello, I am building a form calculator but when I click on a field the calculations are completely wrong.

I followed all the steps on this link

    https://www.jotform.com/help/343-how-to-perform-form-calculation-in-the-input-table-field?

But the values are not appearing correctly in the widget used.

    Please help.

    Hi @GreenJoe,

Thank you for reaching out to JotForm support. If you'd like to perform a calculation using 'Form Calculation widget', please add arithmetic signs to get the value for your 'Selection Total' field. I created the clone form and performed the addition using your table. The following image is the calculation formula for this table. https://form.jotform.com/203024031962948

I hope this helps and if you have any other questions, please reach out to JotForm support again.

    Cheers,

    Yuta

    Hi @GreenJoe,

Thank you for getting back to us. The form I made a change to was a cloned form that I created, and not the original form under your account.

For the 'Form Calculation widget' to work, you would need to add arithmetic operation in 'Form Calculation widget'. You assigned the numbers to each cells in 'Input Table', and those numbers are being populated in 'Form Calculation widget'.

Blue field in 'Form Calculation widget' are pulling assigned numbers from corresponding cells from 'Input Table', but you would need to calculate those numbers in order to get the total number. In this case, I used addition mark '+' to add up all numbers. If you'd like to multiply or negate from other number, you could add them in this field. Then the result will be shown in the total field.

I hope those image will illustrate what those fields are doing. For more information about 'Form Calculation widget', please visit this following link as well. https://www.jotform.com/help/259-how-to-perform-form-calculation-using-a-widget

    Hello,
So, after a few hours I finally got the form to work half way down.
Just to inform you, the widget has bugs. I followed your instructions step
by step and it wasn't until I kept deleting and retying the same exact
    steps did it finally work.
The Section 1 and Section 3 on my form are working properly but Section 2
still does not work. Can you please assist? This is getting very
frustrating and I am hesitant on upgrade to a paid version when it seems
the widgets do not function properly.
    Thank you

The calculation for Section 2 is not set properly. One field is set to A-Z, instead of 0-9 and there is a '+' sign at the end of the calculation that should be removed.

Please change that field to 0-9 and remove the '+' sign at the end of the calculation to resolve the issue.

Here is my cloned form where I made those changes - https://form.jotform.com/203032172767956

Feel free to test it and clone it.
