Hi, we are planning a contest where our members sent in a presentation with some photos. These presentations will be presented on our website.

All the other members of the association can rate 3 presentations with 1 to 3 (or 5) but unique numbers (so no one time 3 en the rest all 1...). There will be about 10-15 presentations sent in (I expect) and probably 30-40 people will do a rating. Members may do 1 rating (of three presentations).

I tried to find out how to build this with Jotform, but didn't find a quick solution.

Is there way to build this?

We have to do this this due to COVID19. Normaly we do this once per year life.

    Thx

    Ben

    Hello Ben,

    My apologies for the confusion.

Can we ask for more details regarding your requirements? I assumed that you are referring to this form, 203045198787970, correct? I can see that you are using the Scale Rating field.

To my understanding, a user can rate 3 presentations with a ranking using a unique number? Can you provide us with an example as well?

Thank you. Looking forward to your response.

Hi, i did not make anything. The form in your answer, i just downloaded it to see if it could help. An example:

10 members did sent in a presentation that is presented on a website. All members will rate those presentations and rate each the best 3 presentations with 1, 2, 3. So each member only ca rate a maximum of 3 presentations. To make the contest honnest I would like to prevent for double ratings and that people only give point to one presentations. So everybody should rate 1, 2, 3 but only once.

As a result i will have a list of presentation with their scores, some might have 20 times a 3 and some may not ha e a score at all. The presentation with the most point wins.

hope this makes it more clear,

    greeting

    Ben

I have a workaround in mind that may help you with your requirements. However, I have not tested it yet. Please allow me some time and I'll get back to you on this ticket as soon as possible.

I'm still finalizing the form with the workaround that is based on your requirements. But please allow me to give you an update. Here's the link to the form I created: https://form.jotform.com/203082615226044

    Here's a sample submission:

I have used the Visual Multi Select widget where respondents will select their top 3. I have injected custom CSS codes into the widget to prevent respondents from selecting more than 3 presentations.

    1604499613_5fa2b89da2f18_zt201104_091511

The last 2 numbers on each selected Presentation will then be put into a Number field using a condition.

    1604499751_5fa2b927399bd_zt201104_092204

But it will then be separated equally into 3 Substring widget.

    1604499991_5fa2ba17a9e7e_zt201104_092600

Then, using conditions, the value of each Substring widget is then passed into separate Single Choice fields where each Single Choice field have different calculation values set to its options.

    1604500106_5fa2ba8aa8626_zt201104_091638

Lastly, using conditions again, the calculation values are passed to the respective Presentation fields.

    1604500320_5fa2bb6082312_zt201104_091830

The sample submission above means that a respondent selected Presentation #04 as his/her first choice and that gave that presentation, 3 points. Presentation #06 got 2 points. And Presentation #02 got 1 point.

Here's the result on the Jotform Tables.

    1604501020_5fa2be1c09152_zt201104_094308

Please test the form on your end and let us know if that could work for you or if I have missed anything.

Feel free to ask us questions and please create a cloned version of the form so you can inspect it better.

2: I see 11 in the Choice subs....

    3: I see 11 Choice single
