Paypal Pro: Error when people is trying to make a payment

Asked by BullDogsCareFoundation on September 13, 2013 at 11:41 AM

Hi, when I tested the integration with PayPal Pro it says it's fine but when people try to make a payment on my form, they're having an invalid integration error message. Is this something with PayPal I have to talk to? I updated with new API credentials this morning and there's still an issue.

    Hi,

Do you have a copy of that particular error or a screenshot? We could easily identify the cause of the issue if we'll know the error code or the message. Also, I've check your form, and it seems you are using the Paypal Standard. Anyway you can restore the Paypal Pro setting so we can check it as well?

    Thanks

    Hi,

PayPal Pro is restored. Here's a snapshot of the error message. When I'm in the payment wizard and test the integration it says that the integration works.

Actually, can I try putting up a test form with PayPal Pro and working with you on that? There's a lot of people going to my live form right now and I don't want them to see that error message?

    Thanks for the additional information.

Yes, sure. Please clone the original form and let me know the clone version. Here's the guide on how you can clone an existing form: http://www.jotform.com/help/27-Form-Cloning. Please be sure that the Paypal Email Address is correct and/or the Paypal API Keys.

    Thanks

I would like to add that according to the PayPal Error Code information, the issue is most likely related to your PayPal Merchant Account configuration:

    10500 - error code
    Invalid Configuration
This transaction cannot be processed due to an invalid merchant configuration.
Occurs when you have not agreed to the billing agreement.

    10501 - error code
    Invalid Configuration
This transaction cannot be processed due to an invalid merchant configuration.
Occurs when the billing agreement is disabled or inactive.

Please make sure that your PayPal Pro account is ready to accept the payments.

The test email with the same API info is labeled test. I'm going to check what Mike_T just posted.

Just a quick question, what is the PayPal billing agreement? Do you know what that is?
