Upload file not working with specific extensionsAsked by Becky Raymond on September 15, 2013 at 03:56 AM
I specified that an upload field should only take .jpg, .png, and .gif files. However, when I actually upload one of those types of files, I get the following error:
You can only upload following files: .jpg .png .gif
And, you can't clear the field after that -- it just keeps trying to upload files.
I tried it with several formats -- with and without asterisks before the extension, with and without commas between the file types.
The first two upload fields are having the problems -- the last one is fine because I removed the restriction.
Can you help?
Thank you for contacting us, It's pretty odd that you have tried to remove commas, put some asterisk etc. etc.. but you still getting some error, When I tried to clone your form I just used comma instead and it works. Kindly take a look at the cloned form that I made. http://form.jotformpro.com/form/32572067889973 If this is exactly what you want feel free to clone it.
Let me know if you have other questions.
That worked! So it looks like no periods, no astersisk -- only commas -- does the trick.
