    Hello loki1976,

Yes you can, If you have set up an Email Alert you can add the {pdf link} to your email alert. This way you also receive a link to a PDF version of the submission for you to download.

    1

You can append the {pdf link} code where is best for you on your Email Alert.

    2

Kindly let us know if you need further assistance. Thank you.

    Hello,

You can download your submissions in PDF format through different ways:

One is through Emails Alerts and the other is through the Submission Page.

To download Submissions as PDF on through your email:

The process is you create a form. And users make submissions to your form online. If you have an email alert setup on your form. You will receive their submissions on an email. On that very same email you can append the link that will allow you to download the submission in PDF Format.

First Step is to create an Email Alert:

Click on Setup & Embed on the top toolbar of your Form Editor

    1

Then either click on the Notification already created to edit it or click on Add New Email to create a new Email Alert.

    2

On our Email Alert we follow the steps posted above:

We basically add the {pdf-link} code somewhere on the body of our email.

    4

This will then allow us to download the submission as PDF once we get a submission email in our inbox.

How to export all Submissions as PDF:

On our main screen we select the form we are going to work with and then click on the Submissions button at the top:

    https://cms.jotform.com/uploads/image_upload/image_upload/global/18367_export2excel.jpg

Then  click on the PDF button on the bottom left corner of the submission screen presented. This will start the download of the submissions in PDF format.https://cms.jotform.com/uploads/image_upload/image_upload/global/18368_export2pdf.png

Kindly let us know if you need additional assistance. Thank you.

Thanks for the assistance.  I have been able to take information entered via my form and have that information inserted ino the Thank You message, however what I truly what to be able to do, is have a blank generic pdf document/template and have user's submission from the form entered into the blank generic pdf document.  For example a letter template that feeds data such as name and address and populates the letter with user data from the form.

    Any suggestions?

We do not have any native tool for this. However, this is possible with third party services.

There is a service called https://www.webmerge.me/ that can inject the data into your PDF template. We do not have a native integration with them, but this is possible to use something like:

JotForm Submission -> Zapier -> WebMerge

I would like to recommend you to check the following article in our blog:

JotForm is now on Zapier: Send Your Form Data to 100+ Web Services

If you need help with this Zapier + WebMerge option, you can create a new thread, so we will be able to assist you.

In case you would like to use the form data for email marketing, you may consider using some integration with professional Email Marketing services.

    Thank you.

    Hello Nana111,

Unfortunately, we do not have such feature. It is currently not possible to add submission data to a custom PDF template. What my colleague @Mike_T has mentioned above is the closest possibility.

Please be informed that integrating with google drive/dropbox will also send submission records in pdf to your dropbox or google drive. But again it is not possible to customize the pdf template. The following guide should help you:  http://www.jotform.com/help/192-How-to-Integrate-a-Form-with-Google-Drive

    Thank you!

I did the Zapier with Webmerge as suggested to do the custom PDF and it worked beautifully!  The user just gets two emails, one from Jotform and another from WebMerge but the ease of setting it up really is amazing.  Thanks for the suggestion Mike_T  I think this is the best solution until Jotform builds this in.
