Is there a way to edit the submission date after a form has been submitted?Asked by vweselak on May 24, 2011 at 09:27 AM
Unfortunately, there is no way to edit the submission date after it has been submitted.
An alternative solution for this is create a DateTime field with the date and time value that will post the current date/time of the submission. Hide the field by getting the ID of the field and use the CSS function "display: none;" on that ID.
Hope this helps.

Note: please disregard the email submission notice that you received. It actually came from the form I cloned from yours.
Hmm ... OK, it seems that I will have to correct myself on this.
After I have done some numerous tests, this won't be possible. Once you try editing a form the dateTime field won't change as it will still get the date/time value from the time it was first submitted.
I apologize for my abrupt response above.
I found a solution:
Create a condition that will overwrite the current date into the date field we want to update. Of course the condition needs to be one that will certainly occur. I my case I have a field that will certainly be selected on resubmission as it is the purpose of the resubmission of the form. The condition is triggered on that radio button selection and the date field is then filled with the current date.
Seems like a very good solution. Thanks for the update and for letting us know. We're glad that you have figured out a way to achieve what you're trying to accomplish.

There is a "date time single" widget which I use for this purpose
