Notification and auto responder sent to same email address.

I am so confused with this.
I want to do 2 simple things. (A) receive a notification that someone completed the form and (b) send a Thank You email to the person who completed the form.
No matter what I do, I get both sent to the same address!

Hello RickGregory,
Upon checking your form, I found that you have only added a notification alert and not added any auto responder. This should give you some clarity:
Notification: If added in your form, it will send submission emails to any email address which you configure in your notification alert.
Auto responder: If added, it will send submission email / auto response email to the user who submitted the form.
Upon taking a closer look at your notification alert, I found that you haven't input any "Recipient Email" yet. Please check this screen shot:
These guides should help you understand and create notification / auto responder:

Auto responder: https://www.jotform.com/help/26-Creating-a-Form-Autoresponder
Do get back to us if the issue persists.
Thank you!
