We use Jotform to allow users to upload images that we need to review but often the fiels that users ae selecting are super high resolution and very large in size. We would also like very much to auto-resize images on upload shrinking the overall size of the files. But using the filesize limit featute in JF frustrates many users as they do not know how to down res/size their own images so they are effectively blocked from sending those files.

Unfortunately the feature you ask for has not been implemented. I do see this feature has been requested in the past. If you like I can add your request to the list. I wouldnt be able to provide you an ETA for it's implementation, nor wcan I promise it will be implemented. Nevertheless, the Development Team will review and evaluate your request.
Do let us know if you wish for us to request this feature. Thank you.

I think you can easily stablish a size limit to avoid your issue by using the Max File Size function.
However, upon your request I have forwarded your request to your nex level support. I'm not sure if this is something that can be added, since I have seen this request before and it have been canceled. However, if this is something that can be implemented or not you will ge the update via this thread.
Thanks for using Jotform
