Highlighting text inside "text box" and text stops

Asked by paulcownden on May 25, 2011 at 06:32 PM

Hi, am looking to take out monthly subscription, but really need the following resolved

    1. Using the 'rate' stars and such, but when i click the text to write in and try to clear it, it will re-appear as "..." especially when I re-open the 'form'.

So, a rating of stars only and no text on the form, fitting alongside my own text in the webpage - then "..." appears

2.I tried out writing the text in a sample form, but the form doesnt have the ability to highlight, which i believe people will do: no copy and paste. No the problem -

but if they try then it seems to jam, and i'll need to prevent this?

So, type stops in the text area when highlighting the text that is written, preventing any changes to text, or adding any more.

    site is a working progress.

    thanks, great site, paul.

    Hi Paul

Regarding your first query, I know what you're talking about because I've experienced it myself. To get rid of the ellipses (...), after you clear the text, hit the spacebar to type a space. If you have to re-open the form at some later stage you will probably have to repeat these steps. It's a bug of some sort.

Sorry but I'm not following what you're stating in your second question. Can you please re-state what exactly is happening?

    Thanks.
