Can you recieve form submissions if you're email wasnt verified or your smtp wasnt setup?

I have had customers fill out my Get Styled Questionnaire as I'm testing out JotForms before implementing to make sure it's what I want. Unfortunately, I've had 2 submissions but no emails and it seems I need to set up the SMTP and senders email address which I have done.

Is there any way to still receive those submissions or do they just disappear into the ether?

So far the setup for the questionnaire was simple to follow and I have asked my customers to survey once I do a consultation.

Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated.

    TYIA,

    Amanda Simmons

    Hi Amanda,

How do you know that you had 2 submissions? Could you please share the emails? Or screenshots?

Because when I have a look, I don't see any submissions.

    Awaiting your answer.

    Greetings!

This cusomer is my sister who went through the questionnaire on a test run. I sent her the link and she had to verify her email before I granted her access to take the questionnaire which is set to private and I did. She completed it and hit submit. Also, she didn’t get a confirmation email saying Thank you for completing or a copy of what she submitted (which may be on my part to do in settings). I did find out the other customer hasn’t submitted theirs yet, so it would only be one submission for the questionnaire. Once again, is there a way to retrieve what is submitted if my sender email wasn’t verified? If not no worries I will test again on my end to make sure all is working accurately. Thank You!---- On Tue, 01 Dec 2020 02:50:19 -0600 JotForm wrote ----

If you're referring to the Email Validator Widget in your form, they can't submit the form until they complete the email verification. If they click on Verify Email, they should receive a code in the email address they entered. They have to copy that code and paste it back to the email widget to complete the verification.

    Example:

And after verification, here's how it looks.

And after that, they should still click the submit button on the form to finally submit the form.

So to answer your question, no, there's nothing to be retrieved since there was no submission made. They have to complete the verification to submit the form and that's where you will receive their submissions.

Ahhh ok! Makes total sense. My customer did mention she didn’t fill out the email validator but allowed her to submit which in actuality it didn’t. I appreciate all of your help in this matter. Thank You!---- On Tue, 01 Dec 2020 19:44:59 -0600 JotForm wrote ----
