    Hi,

we are a performing a clinical study at Lund University in Sweden where we will collect data from the participants regarding their health during 3 months.

We want them to be able to fill in the qustionnaires on their smartphone, and are therefore interested in using your app and services. There will be 4 forms, one to be filled in before the study, one to fill in every other week during the study, one form to record symtoms if they catch a cold, and finally one after the study. They are all short and simple.

We are wondering which prescription is most suitable for us, and just want to ensure that the service you can provide will be sufficient to collect these data.

Is it possible to have a phone or zoom call to get started?

    Thank you in advance,

Céline Kroné, Research assistant at Lund University

    Hello Celine,

    Thank you for reaching out!

Unfortunately at the time of writing this reply, we do not have a phone number or the ability to assist through Zoom, but we will gladly assist you.

Right off the bat, there are two things that come to mind directly.

The first thing is that, as you're collecting health data, you will want a HIPAA Compliant account, which leads you towards a Silver or Gold account.

The second thing to me is, would like to have multiple people sub-managing the forms and so on or there will be one sole owner with all the access, and the rest of the team will just receive the submissions via email?

If you have the need to have multiple people under the same account, you would need an Enterprise account.

Please don't hesitate to ask any questions that you have in mind, we will gladly help you make the best choice depending on your needs.

Hi again thank you for the quick reply.

The study will not involve any healthcare unit, as only healthy volunteers will participate. Further, as we are situated in Sweden, I dont know if HIPAA is useful, since european countries have what we call GDPR to cover the same issues instead. Do you have any additional comments based on this information?

Regarding your later question, i believe only one person needs to own the forms, as only one person will be handling incoming data during the study. However, when the study is done, a second person will be taking over the project, but they should do fine by just taking over the account right?

    Looking forward to getting started!

    Hello Celine,

    Thanks for reaching us.

Firstly, HIPAA is useful for European countries as well. This is kind of a privacy agreement between patient and doctor. Also, JotForm support GDPR. You can make your account GDPR Compliant by signing DPA.

For your second question, the other people can handle your data by using your account credentials without extra money. Also, you can share your data with others and create reports. You can even set different access permissions. However, as my co-worker mentioned above, if you want to add sub-users, you need to have an enterprise account.

Please have a check and let us know for further assistance.
