Post Brexit Transition

With Brexit looming I was wondering what Jotforms will be doing to accommodate British businesses. The Government are warning that the post-transition period may restrict businesses on whether they can transfer data to and from the EU.

Our Jotforms surveys ask participants to hand over some personal data and we only send the surveys to British residents. I'm really concerned that if we continue to use your service (which works brilliantly for us) that we will be fined or that we will end not able to use the service post Brexit. So I was wondering what Jotforms will be doing to ensure that businesses like ours will still be able to use the service.

Really hope you can help with our concerns. Thank you!

You will still be able to continue using the service without any issue.

If this will take effect, the UK will no longer need to be GDPR compliant. Nonetheless, users have the option to still keep their data in our EU servers. Otherwise, it will be stored on our US server.

    Hi Vincent,

    Thank you for your reply.

I spoke the ICO, they explained that we can still use the Jotforms service on the Germany server, however, there is a need for "adequate measures". Will Jotforms be complying to ensure that businesses like ours in the UK can still use your service post-transition.

    Hi there,

Yes, when the time comes and new laws are implemented simultaneously JotForm will do the necessary as well. Our Security and related pages will get updated accordingly.

    Thanks
