Will JotForms work for my specific need?

    Hi,

I'm trying to determine if JotForm will work for what I have in mind, Hoping you can provide a definitive answer.

I want to create a sellable digital product, with two variants:

    • Variant #1 would consist of a questionnaire that a customer would fill out and that would generate a polished, filled-in PDF with their answers. The finished PDF would be automatically delivered to the respondent without me manually being involved in the process in any way. (To clarify, the end PDF document is the actual product they're buying.)
    • Variant #2, an up-sell, would consist of the same customer-filled questionnaire that would generate a filled-in PDF with their answers. The difference here is that I'd need to be able to access and edit their answers. Ultimately, the respondent would receive a post-consultation finished PDF doc. (To clarify, the end PDF document PLUS my consultation time is the product they're buying here.)

    So, with JF, can I:

    1. Create the questionnaire, workflows and payment collection?
    2. Accommodate these two variations?
    3. Link to the questionnaire or embed it in my website (behind that pay wall....)?

A little more info on the form:

    1. It's about 65 questions.
    2. It's mostly Yes/No (w/opp to provide clarification), multiple choice, or checkboxes. There are a few short-text, long-text and URL questions.
    3. I'd consider changing the question types if the form would allow a respondent to answer and then provide additional details. (The form is currently in Google Forms which limits my options, so I've hacked some of the questions to fit the available types....)(Ex. Some Yes/No questions would be better as 1-5 Scale questions but GF then wouldn't allow me to get additional details from the respondent without adding a separate question for those additional details; I don't want to add it as a separate Q.)
    4. I'd love to include an instruction video or link to video in the form.

I know this is a lot packed in here. If it's easier to hash thru this on a call, let me know. Thanks!

    Cheers,

    Suz

Thank you for contacting us. I also recommend creating an account first if you haven't yet.

You can sign up using your email account at https://www.jotform.com/signup

As to your inquiries, please refer to the following details:

    Variant #1

The form submission data can be converted to PDF document.

User guide : Applying Form Submission Data into a PDF Document

The PDF document can be automatically attached to the respondents email.

User guide : How To Include Submissions As PDF Attachment In The Email

    Variant #2

Form respondents can edit their own submission at a later date. When they edit the submission and submit the form again, the PDF attachment will be updated as well. You can also always edit form submissions anytime.

User guide : How to Let Users Update Their Form Submissions

User guide : How to Edit Submissions Made on Your Forms

Any way the submission updated/edited, it will update the PDF document as well.

    #3

It is actually possible to convert your google form to JotForm. Please check the app in the following link.

    https://www.jotform.com/integrations/import-google-forms

Once in JotForm, you can still edit/modify the form using your Form Builder.

    ---

I highly recommend creating your form first on your account so that we can assist you further on designing the form.

Thank you thank you thank you! :-) Great, helpful info. I think I'll create a simple "practice" form to see how it all pulls together.
    Best regards,
    Suz
