Form Clone: Unable to clone PDF documents when cloning the form

Asked on December 05, 2020 at 10:08 AM

I have forms that I would like to share with my students, which would allow them to use the form as a template on their own Jotform accounts. Although the template shows up in the community, the PDF attachments don't, nor do the email notifications/autoresponders. How can I share a form for another Jotform user to use as a template (inclusive of the associated PDF's and email set-up)?

    This is my form: https://form.jotform.com/202651694580156

This is the test of the template I'm trying to share: https://www.jotform.com/form-templates/search/Test%20Template%20Lease%20Finance%20Quote

Could you please ask the users to clone your form?

On cloning the form it will also clone all the settings related to it along with the PDF documents and the emails.

    Guide: https://www.jotform.com/help/42-how-to-clone-an-existing-form-from-a-url

Let us know how it goes.

    Thanks.

Thank you, I tried following the steps, I provided the user with the URL,
but they're getting this error message:
    1607224951_5fcc4e7767df7_Screen Shot 202
I checked my settings, everything should allow for them to clone the form:

I got the cloning to work! But the user doesn't have access to the associated PDF's (which is the most important part). When they click through the autoresponders, the PDF's aren't there & when they click the PDF Editor, nothing appears. How can they also have access to the PDF's that are auto-generated from the form?

Okay - the cloning is working now! But, the user doesn't get my PDF's that
are associated with the form. When they click over to PDF editor, there's
    nothing there.

May we know the user account's username?

If the PDF is not getting cloned then is it working for you in your account? Could you please clone the form and see the PDF document being cloned in your cloned form? If yes, then we can move this form to the user's account so that he may work on this form.

I have cloned your form but unable to replicate any issue. The PDF was also cloned along with the emails.

Could you also ask the user to clone my form:

Let us know how you would like to proceed.

    Thanks.

Yes, the PDF's are showing up when I clone under the same account. I tested

it under a dummy account, and it's not working. Here is the user:

    renee.latour@yahoo.com

Although moving the PDF's over to that account is not a suitable fix, I

need to be able to share this form via cloning, along with the PDF's to

multiple users, in which I wouldn't always know their user info.

I tried cloning your form with the provided URL, and it's also not cloning

    the PDF's (see screenshot)

    1607230531_5fcc64430e86e_Screen Shot 202

I have a user that needs this right away, but he hasn't tried cloning (I

wanted to test it first, in which it's not working properly). Can you clone

the form to his account along with the PDF's, in the meantime?

I'm having the same issue with this form, I've also tried cloning, and the

You may also save the PDF template and then users can use your PDF template. I have saved both these templates and applied those in this form of the user renee.latour@yahoo.com

    https://www.jotform.com/pdf-templates/start-up-lease-finance-quote-pdf-private-1

    https://www.jotform.com/pdf-templates/lease-finance-quote-pdf-private-1

This is the form in which the PDF templates are applied:

    https://form.jotform.com/203401182533443

To save the PDF as a template, please check this screenshot:

    1607238111_5fcc81df27233_

I'll also escalate this to our backend team about this that cloning the form does not clone the PDF template.

    Thanks.

Thank you for escalating the issue. In the meantime, could you please
provide a clone (along with the associated PDF's) of these two forms to
    this user: joe@titanfundingsolutions.com ?

I have cloned the two forms along with the PDFs associated with each as requested and moved it to this account: Joe_Waters.

Please check with the user and let us know if you need further assistance.

Hello, Thank you for your help. I tried creating PDF templates so that I
may share them, following your screenshot, but I don't see how I can share
these PDF templates with other users, if they're private. Can I provide
    them with a URL?

You can actually save the PDF document you designed as a PUBLIC TEMPLATE. Here's how:

    1607273473_5fcd0c01743fa_saveteamptepdf.

Then let the other user clone your form as usual, head over to the PDF Editor to create a new PDF document, then look for the shared template in the category where you saved it, and that's it!
    1607273577_5fcd0c69dfd58_saveteamptepdf2

Once done, you have the option to unshare the template by searching for it on your MY TEMPLATES and delete it there:

    1607273637_5fcd0ca55ea7a_saveteamptepdf3

Please try that and let us know if it'll work for you.

Hello, I've tried this, and there seem to be some glitches, I don't know
    what's causing it.
See the screenshots below, this is what the template should look like for
    the user:
    1607308411_5fcd947b99977_Screen Shot 202
But when they add it to the cloned form, it looks like this (all the
headings are off, there are things missing and formating is wonky):

    Hi there,

This issue has been raised to our developers, I will notify them regarding the PDF formatting not being applied to the cloned form.

They will be responding to this support ticket as soon as they have any updates.

I'm following up to see if this issue has been fixed. I'm still trying to
use the cloning feature to share my forms, but the PDF's are not cloning
    over.
    Thank you!
