    Formular to count all votes

Asked by ComKat on October 04, 2013 at 07:06 PM

I would like to know if anyone got a formular to count alle votes for names in excel.

I have about 25 reply's on a form, and its different persons that have been voted on, so if its possible to count the person with most votes, or list alle that have got votes, and how many votes.

    Exsample: Question 1. ***

And witth the formular it would maybe say
    name1 - 2
    name2 - 3
    and so on...

I have about 50 questions, and there is about 30 votes in each, so many to count -.-

Hello, If the data is properly set you should be able to perform this through Excel by using pivot tables.

If you can please provide a link to your file so that I may work to see if theres any efficient alternative methods. Thank you.

You can try to use =COUNTIF(range, criteria),

Ex. A1: A6 is the cells that has a name field like name1,name2 etc.. A1 would be the start and A6 would be the end where you want the cells to be counted. The "name1" is the field name that you want to be counted.

Please see this guide on where I find the sample formula.

    I hope this helps.
