    New reservation form

Asked by Kingswood on October 05, 2013 at 09:17 AM

I like the table reservation form in your new Apps section. I have set up a demo one but need to change the date format to English. I could not see how this could be changed as you would be able tp normally so replaced it with a new date field and set it to English format. However when saving and viewing the updated form it would not work. How then do I change the date format?

    Hi,

May I know which form are your referring to? I can see that some of your form are default to english can please point to the correct form. You can also try changing the language to english by scrolling down and selecting the languages or if you have set the language back to english and it didn't reflect on your form you'll just have to remove the date field and put it back again.

Hope this helps. Let us know if you have other questions.

    Thanks,

    Hi
    Thanks for your reply.
This is my form titled RESERVATION and is from your Jotform APPS selection which you've just launched.
Can't see how you can change the DATE field as it doesn't offer the same fields as you would get in a normal date field. Strange!
    Cheers

Are you referring to this form http://www.jotformeu.com/form/32774065515355 ? You have set the date field as a text field. Please see the steps below on how you can choose the date field

    1. Click on the Quick tools

    2. Select the DateTime element

If this is not what you were pertaiting to may I know the link of your form? You can provide me the correct link here.

    Thanks,

    Hi
I think we may be at crossed purposes.
This is the link to the form on your apps.jotform.com site
    http://apps.jotform.com/app/reservation_form
I created a reservation form from this template which saved itself in MY FORMS
When I noticed that the date setting was the American format then I tried to change it as you would on a normal form and indeed as you have shown but the new date field would not function as normal ie. would not allow input nor show a calendar popup!
I am beginning to think that the aps.jotform is a separate facility and hence the confusion and perhaps I haven't understood what this new venture is!
    I hope this helps.

Sorry if I wasn't able to get it at first. To tell you honestly I haven't tried all of the apps that was release 2 days ago but you were right about the apps that this has been made and can't be modified as it has its own function, modifying it will make the app useless. I think it is because this apps saves into your My Forms and that makes user think it can be modified. I may be wrong, I will have to validated this as well with our developers if such thing can be modified.

    Hi
Bingo... but if you're not going to be able to make basic adjustments like that then surely It would seem a little pointless marketing it on your new venture.
I don't mean major overhauls but if you take the Reservation form as an example I can assure you that this would cause no end of problems as people would think they're booking for 10th June 2013 when in fact they've booked the 6th October 2013 !
I love the idea of your new venture as it provides many ideas that I will be able to incorporate into my projects but if you cannot amend them even slightly then as I say it seems pointless.
Please keep me informed of any news on this.
    Cheers

I agree with you, This could cause a problem since the popup calendar function stops working it is much clear to have the pop up calendar function. I have made a test that once the form is modified even putting it back to its orignal setup will make the function not to work.

No worries I'll bring this to their attention and will update you via this thread as soon as a new update is available.
